Karin Bohn is the founder and creative director behind the award-wining Vancouver-based design firm, House of Bohn. Karin established the interior design firm over 8 years ago, and since has made her mark in many industries including luxury residential, multi-family, restaurants and retail.

Since establishing her firm, the interior designer has garnered a number of Georgie Awards, builder awards, as well as press and media attention. With each project, Karin attempts to continuously push the boundaries of typical northern west-coast interior design. Aside from the distinct modern, Karin’s work truly reflects a unique, original and playful eclectic aesthetic.

Karin credits her diverse German-Chinese heritage for the reason she’s fearlessly able to take bold risks with her projects. Growing up, the interior designer would spend time with both sets of grandparents who could only speak broken English at best. Being exposed to deep German and Chinese cultural roots and such diverse traditions at a young age, is the reason Karin’s work is able to be influenced by so many time periods, cultures and countries. Almost nothing is off limits when it comes to her designs.

Karin’s strong lust to constantly create is the reason behind her YouTube channel. In addition to working at the helm of her interior design firm, she indulges in experimenting with storytelling in a digital medium – video. Her self-titled YouTube channel is an on-going passion project and online world that’s not only dedicated to helping others grow their own businesses, but also embraces photography, video and music as a means of art and self-expression.

Karin lives with her husband and French bulldog, Oscar, in North Vancouver.
