Down 2 Earth

House of Bohn was commissioned for the interior design of Down 2 Earth, a 1,500sqft plant based restaurant located in Langley, BC.

There was so much good behind the concept of this beautiful plant based restaurant. In combination with the owners mom and daughter, making them a 3 generational woman led business, opening Down 2 Earth was a place for health, family and community.

The House of Bohn team had so much fun working on Down 2 Earth to build out this concept. Down 2 Earth was a mix of styles including bohemian, farmhouse and mediterranean. It is such a cozy, comfortable and lush space with no detail missed. A very special part of this restaurant are the LED rings that symbolize the core values of Down 2 Earth being compassion, health and sustainability. One common theme at Down 2 Earth is greenery which can be seen hanging on the above the booths, a plant wall, and plant phrases all bringing it back to the plant based concept. The materials and decor used at Down 2 Earth were very intentional such as the teal, black and wood tone baskets which are made by woman in Rwanda. The special thing about these baskets is that part of the proceeds go to supporting the woman and their families so they can buy livestock. Elements throughout the restaurant support all of Down 2 Earth’s values and really tell a story about their mission.
